Reputed to have been a pub since the 1600s, The Ferryman (formerly the Waggon & Horses) is just a short stroll over the old toll bridge from Lymington town centre. We are a stone’s throw from the Lymington waterfront and ferry terminal, making it accessible by foot, train, ferry, car or boat!
If you’re driving to us, there is plenty of car parking across 2 car parks onsite. If you’re travelling to Lymignton by train, we are within easy walk from Lymington Town or Lymington Ferry Terminal stations.
We are just moments away from the Wightlink ferry terminal for the crossing to Yarmouth. That makes us the perfect pit stop before you catch your Isle of Wight ferry. Take the pressure off, arrive early and enjoy a relaxing drink or bite to eat before boarding.
You can also enjoy scenic walks from the Ferryman up to the Sir Harry Burrard Neale Monument, starting from the car park.
With the Eastern New Forest on our doorstep too, you’ll enjoy one of the most picturesque cycle rides on quiet forest roads over to Bucklers Hard, Beaulieu and Lepe.
If you haven’t been, come. If you have been, come and see us again soon!
